American child actress who was a popular member of the 'Our Gang' film series in the late 1920s.  She was one of the last surviving members of the Gang. Her mother was Dorothy Hamilton Darling.
Some sources give a birthdate of August 23, but her birth certificate states August 21.

Her name was legally changed when she was 5 months old, a few days after her parents split (purportedly due to her mother's showbiz aspirations for her daughter).
