Charles King

died: 11 January 1944 London, England (pneumonia, age 57)

American singer and actor.  He served with the US Navy during WWI.  His fatal bout of pneumonia developed from a cold contracted while traveling aboard a ship from New York to England to play USO shows. Not to be confused with Charlie "Blackie" King (1895-1957). At least one source gives a birth year of 1889.
