American actor. He immigrated to the US in 1907 with his Mom and siblings. The Dad had arrived in 1902. In 1920, "Antonio" enlisted in the Army at Ft. Bliss, TX with an artillery regiment which gained him his citizenship. By 1934, he was acting in films. He played bit and extra parts in movies and TV into 1990 with over 450 appearances, mostly uncredited, and was known as the most popular dress extra in Hollywood. In Los Angeles in 1943, he married Eleanor Frieda, an accountant. |
