American actress, the wife of John Warnack. They married on 3 October 1904 in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Warnacks had four children: Edna Christine (Warnack) Le Sage (1905-2000), John Edward Warnack (Eddie Warnack, 1907-2002), Lucille Charlotte Warnack (1910-1928), and John Houston "Jack" Warnack, Jr. (1915-2016). Bertha filed for divorce from John in August 1928, but they are still together in the 1930 U.S. Census; however, John was granted a divorce from Bertha in January 1932. Apart from John, who lived to 67, and Lucille, who died at 17 after over a year of suffering from "subacute bacterial endocarditis," Bertha and her other three children lived until their 90s; the youngest, Jack, even made it all the way to 101! She appeared with her children in a couple of Harold Lloyd films. The Harold Lloyd Encyclopedia lists her as "Mrs. John Warnack". |
