I DON'T HAVE THIS VERSION OF THE FILM IN MY COLLECTION UPDATE: OH YES I BLOODY WELL DO!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Facts |
•This is the German-language version of The-Laurel-Hardy Murder Case. |
•The English translation of the title reads "Spook At Midnight". |
•The print that remains uses sections of the English version wiith German subtitles to fill in the gaps in the missing film. |
Did you notice? |
•One noticable difference between this version and the English-speaking version is the opening scene when Stan and Ollie have decided to go and seek their fortune. We see them get up off the dock and walk away. This is followed by a cut of a night scene with a train racing towards the camera through the open countryside (which is where the 'Berth Marks' section of the film begins). |
