American silent screen actress who married director Norman Taurog (23 May 1925 - 05 October 1943); she was also the aunt of actor Jackie Cooper.  Julie replaced Mae Laurel as Stan Laurel's leading lady for a number of films with Joe Rock in the mid-1920s.
