Short American actor who starred as one half of the "Mutt and Jeff" duo (Gus was 'Jeff' and  Sam D. Drane was 'Mutt') in a series of short films in 1911. At least one source lists a birth date of 1903 Louisiana, which quite frankly is laughable.
