American director, the brother of Stanley Blystone. The last film he directed was Laurel and Hardy's Block-Heads, which was released after his death.

Interesting note: his obituary in Variety (10 Aug 1938) mentions he was "preparing 'Captain Midnight' at Roach studio" at the time of his death; the film would later become the 1939 Roach film Captain Fury.
