29 February 1940 Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, United States of America (natural causes, age 73) |
Versatile German actor who had a spell in Mack Sennett comedies from 1914. He apparently died from "natural causes" one year after his ex-wife, Margaret Campbell was murdered by her son from her previous marriage, Campbell McDonald (a pretty interesting read - link is below). Some sources suggest he died from suicide, after jumping from the Hollywood sign. |
