American child actor, the brother of Tommy Bupp. He was the highest paid male child extra in 1937. He was cast by Orson Welles as Welles' son in Citizen Kane (1941) because of the striking resemblance between the two. At the end of WWII, he served as a corporal in the US Army Signal Corps until 1949. After his military service, he went to work for Ford Motor Co. in Detroit eventually becoming an executive and serving a tour in Australia with them. He is interred at Southern NV Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City, Nevada. |
