Max Hamburger
born: 06 December 1882
Chicago, Illinois,
United States of America
died: 24 July 1939
Somerset Hotel,
San Francisco, California,
United States of America
(heart attack, age 56)

American actor who appeared in over fifty films with Harold Lloyd. In the 1920 Census, he was actually living with James Parrott; incidentally, they both died in the same year of similar causes. By 1930 and at the time of his death, he was working as a stagehand and property man for the theatre. According to the coroner's report (which can be viewed by those with accounts at FamilySearch), he and some friends traveled from Los Angeles to San Francisco and checked into the Somerset Hotel at around 6pm on 23 July 1939. At 1am that night, Max called the night clerk and asked for a doctor; one was sent up and treated him, but he succumbed to heart problems two hours later. The report mentions his brother S.A. (Solomon Aron) Hamburger.
Some birth records give a birth month of December, but he himself later went with the birth month of May according to his Social Security Applications and Claims Index entry at Ancestry. His birth certificate clearly states December 6th, 1882 (see below). His height is as per the coroner's register.

The dates and locations currently listed on his IMDb page are completely wrong, as well as his filmography being only half complete.
