American actress from silent films. Her husband James Blyler appeared with her in some of her films with Harold Lloyd. After leaving films, as a song and dance and acting team, they were very successful in vaudeville. They married in NYC in 1920. After her husband's 1924 death, she was earning (1926) $1,000 per week as a single act in vaudeville. In 1927, she married aviator/actor/musician, Ron Wilson (1900-1969). After suffering a stroke at their home (1931), she was taken to the exclusive Christian Science Hospital where she died 25 days later.
Some sources give her death date as August 28th but the San Francisco funeral home record (similar to a death certificate) says August 27th. Absent a birth record or contemporary newspaper birth announcement, her birth information comes from a 1925 ship's passenger manifest and the funeral home death record. Along with the 1900 and 1910 US Census's. they give Pennsylvania as her birthplace. The 1931 death record gives a birthday of January 2nd and the 1925 passenger manifest says January 3rd (Tarentum, PA). Most sources incorrectly say she was born in Kentucky.
