Belgian actor. He came to Spokane, Washington in April 1914 to set up a "blooded" cattle breeding operation with wealthy Belgian investors in the local Belgian community. A few months later WWI broke out in Europe and his fiance', Juliette Kappel, and her family barely escaped. They were High School sweethearts from wealthy families and planned to be married in Antwerp. The war ruined all their plans so they married in November of 1914 and began a career of teaching dancing. They were socially active in Spokane and Portland, Oregon when they moved there and in Los Angeles, when they moved there.
He served in the US Army from 1917 to 1919. Auguste went into the import / export business. Along the way he went into play acting in the French Community and eventually sound films that required French speakers for the French language releases.
