Fred Behrle

American actor, also known as Fred Burley. He entered films in the 1910s with the Vitagraph company. For a reported 20 years, he frequently worked in tandem with fellow actor/extra Earl "Hap" Hogan; they were known as "the twins," and if one of them were cast in a certain picture, the other would invariably be as well. Behrle died from a heart attack suffered at the Columbia Ranch in Burbank (now the Warner Bros. Ranch), where he was filming the motion picture "Texas"; he succumbed en route to the Burbank Emergency Hospital. Hogan served as the informant on Behrle's death certificate; eerily, Hogan suffered a similar fate over three years later -- succumbing to a heart attack while filming a picture on a studio ranch (in his case, even more eerily, the original Warner Bros. Ranch in Calabasas).
