| Shy, demure American actress who later became a pin-up girl. In her later years she suffered from depression, especially after her husband Cecil Coan (whom she married in March 1945) suddenly died of cancer in January 1967. Although she did remarry - a childhood sweetheart William Reed, she ended her own life just three months later. Barbara was found dead in her mother's garage from carbon monoxide poisoning. She was only 43 years old. |
