Short, bald American actor, extra, and stuntman. "Pilaria" appears to be the natural spelling of his surname, though he seemed to go interchangeably between that and "Pilario." In the early 1920s, he worked in films as a property man. A 1936 voter registration for Lawrence Pilario [sic] gives his occupation as "stunt man."
On his World War II draft registration card, where he goes by his real name of Lawrence Pilaria, that name is repeated again in the telephone (number) section of the card, with "Al" written above "Lawrence" divided by a line. He resides at 9033 Hubbard Street, Culver City, California, and his employer is Central Casting Office. His statistics are given as: 5'4½", 142 pounds, brown eyes, bald, and light brown complexion. In the 1950 Census, he is a motion picture extra.
